SELECTION CRITERIA FOR TITLE NOMINATIONS
The title should reflect the University’s unique characteristics and strategic focuses.
The title should be able to facilitate the University’s long term strategic development.
- The title should demonstrate intellectual quality and educational value.
The title should not bear implications on current social issues, politics, or religions.
The title should be easy to articulate.
The English and Chinese titles should be consistent.
The words in the title should not have syllables (in English, Cantonese and Putonghua) that may be mistaken for other words of a negative meaning, e.g. homophones, rhymes.
The acronym of the title should not bear negative connotation.
